Gonna have to let the voucher expire, it's a waste, but I just bought the Battle Pass and Welkin of the Moon for Genshin Impact an hour ago, plus debating whether to buy Destiny 2's Beyond Light with all the 4 seasons or not. Really wanted to get them, but if I'm not gonna play it for months, better to save money. Even saw both Trials Fusion and Blade Tacticts for very, very cheap. Same for other great games like Hades, etc. I have that $10 voucher on the Epic Games Store and was browsing it yesterday for 20-30 minutes, saw Ghostrunner and thought I might buy it, but not gonna play it atm, so it wouldn't be wise to get it now. Thanks for informing me that there's more control schemes. So it's probably too late to go back to K+M. I'm even playing Destiny 2 with a controller for close to 1000 hours now. Yes, absolutely, keyboard + mouse rules in FPS, even slasher ones. Which leads to time consumed and frustration. Like many other people have said though, I didn't like the 1-hit kill mechanic, as it led to repetition if you weren't perfect. In reply to I really liked the demo, the atmosphere and vibe are really cool. Just needs a few tweaks here and there to be truly great. Still looking forward to it, as it's a very unique experience well worth of the time. I hope the developers have addressed these issues, as I remember reading a lot of people giving that feedback during the Steam Festival. And playing with a controller was way harder than with a keyboard + mouse, hence the 1-hit kill mechanic being far more punishing if one plays with a controller. I don't remember it well, but I believe you couldn't remap/rebind in the demo, though I'm not sure. It might be a game better played in small burts then, something that when you get too much frustrated, you move away from.Īnother thing is that the controller setup was really awful, the jump was RB/R1 for example. When I do get to play it, I will just have to be patient.

Of course not all games should be the same and if the developers truly believe that's the best way their vision can be executed, I respect that. The game will get a next-gen upgrade sometime this fall.I really liked the demo, the atmosphere and vibe are really cool. It’ll get a long-requested photo mode later this spring, as well as challenges. In the meantime, the game’s developers are hard at work on additional content for the first game. In discussing the purchase, 505 Games co-founders Rami Galante and Raffi Galante said, “Ghostrunner is one of the most impressive indie games we’ve seen, boasting AAA tech and a unique futuristic cyberpunk-inspired world that’s both intriguing and terrifying.”Ĭurrently, there’s no release date set for Ghostrunner 2. The news comes hot off the heels of publisher 505 Games acquiring the Ghostrunner IP. Ghostrunner 2 could signal a sea change in how developers are approaching that gap. EA recently confirmed that the next Battlefield game will be released on past and current-gen consoles, raising questions about how long developers planned to keep supporting both generations. That’s a particularly interesting note, as many third-party games are still being developed for PS4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch and last-gen consoles are notably absent from the press release, indicating that it’ll be built as a “next-gen” game, rather than a cross-generational one. It’ll launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Ghostrunner 2 is developed by One More Level, who created the original. That made for a puzzle-like action game that’s about finding the correct route through a level. The catch is that every attack is a one-hit kill, not unlike indie hit Katana Zero. Ghostrunner is a fast-paced ninja game where players slash through enemies while traversing rooms with skills like wall running. Ghostrunner 2 is currently in production for next-gen consoles and PC. The 2020 action game Ghostrunner is officially getting a sequel.
